The end to another magic day here in Nozawa Onsen

Conditions will be great on the groomers today.  Clouds will be hanging around until tomorrow as we wait for them to give us some snow!  Hopefully the sun will peek out at some stage today.  The forecast is showing another sunny day on Saturday.  Long range is showing the next heavy snow dump around the 5th March.

We still have wonderful snow and great skiing conditions with less people on the mountain and in the village after the end of Chinese New Year.  Bring on Magic March!

Have a great day up there, stay safe and we’ll see you on the mountain!

First light!

Nozawa Snow Report Friday 23rd of February 2018

First light from up on the mountain

Good morning everyone, it looks like we will have another blue bird day, then clouds are predicted rolling in this evening, so grab your cameras and get some great shots from the top of the mountain. The clouds should deliver light snow tonight and then light to moderate snow tomorrow and on Sunday.

While everybody was tucked in bed some early birds got to see the first light of dawn and the photo shows it was worth the effort.

Long range forecasts don’t always happen but if the forecast for the beginning of March is correct, bring your snorkel. We will keep you updated as it develops.

Have a great day up there, stay safe and we’ll see you on the mountain!
