Waking up in the morning to see that it’s snowing outside never gets old. And today is one of those mornings! Our village had been looking a little bare after a couple of warm days but It’s getting a nice top up to bring things back to normal. We’re currently down to about -4°C in the village and -12°C up the top. With these temperatures and dense low-lying clouds above us, this snow should be falling all day. The freezing level has dropped right down to sea level so we’ll be seeing snow across all of Nozawa.

Looking ahead it seems as though we’ll have fairly steady temperatures for the next few days with light snow tomorrow becoming heavier overnight and falling heavily throughout Wednesday. Temperatures are expected to rise again later in the week though not like the previous spike. We should have beautiful mild temperatures with some sun for skiing. This week is looking pretty good!
