After some patchy snowfalls yesterday morning, we were rewarded with a solid dump in the afternoon and through the night. The snow is still falling and our excitement is rising; although unfortunately the lifts will not be opening today. We received 20 centimetres up the top overnight which brings the base at the top up to 25 centimetres. we’re expecting some more overnight and tomorrow, so hopefully tomorrow is opening day.
Around town, everybody’s been getting ready. The rental shop has been busy, boards and skis are being waxed and prepared, snowmen have started popping up, windscreen wipers have been raised and the ski patrol have been busy preparing the mountain.
Gondola Cafe will be opening today, so stop by for your coffee fix and say hi to the team up there.
