It’s recently begun snowing early this morning in Nozawa. Just what we need after three fantastic bluebird days in a row. The past few days have been gorgeous. With plenty of fresh snow on piste to begin with from the previous dump, we had fresh and fast snow throughout the week with mild temperatures, no wind, and blue skies. What a dream! It was just yesterday that the conditions were becoming a bit slushy so we’re glad to see that another lot of good snow is on the way.

We’re expecting about 30cm to fall throughout the day, with snow being heaviest during the night. Temperatures are still going to be fairly mild; down in the village we may unfortunately see some of the fresh snow softening, although we likely won’t get a glimpse of the sun for a couple of days so hopefully that keeps the snow nice and fresh. Up the top we should have no problems and there should be fresh snow for all of the weekend. Once we’ve carved up all this snow, there’ll be more coming on monday!

Most courses are planned to be open, the following are not currently open:

Challenge 39 °

Grand Prix

Hachiman

Mukairin

Kandahar East

Kandahar West
