Interesting morning in Nozawa Onsen today. We have some valley fog, a clear mid layer and some high clouds indicating the approach of a cold front, expected later tonight. Snow conditions are simply excellent, especially up the top with some of the driest powder you can find. Amazingly Yamabiko remain relatively untracked yesterday and if you were to head up early this morning you should find more than a few blank canvases.

Yesterday was one of the days of the season so far. Very few crowds for a Japanese public holiday, deep fresh powder and patchy cloud interspersed with bright blue sky. Some great lines were ridden for a fun filled day.

More good news. For Christmas day we are expecting a moderate to strong dump of cold Siberian powder. We should expect around 20-40cm in the next 24 hours, quite possibly more. Following this, light snow should continue until Saturday after which a clearing trend is expected. Have a good day.

Ok!?

Ok!?
