Nozawa is back in white

by Mark on March 25, 2012

Spontaneous artistic contribution infront of the Villa Nozawa. Good on ya Trent...

Base up top: 360 cm        Temperature: -4 Degrees

Base at bottom: 210 cm

New Snow: 5 cm               Weather: Snowing Lightly

After a few warm days it was great to see the village covered in a new blanket of snow this morning. Temperatures dropped and brought a nice top up of fresh snow up top. Constant changes on the weather front with the sun poking through every now and then. All in all not a bad day for late march. Quite a few people on the mountain with the border cross competition still going. You could see some spectacular falls yesterday on the racecourse.

The spring festival also continues today with free sake on offer so take it easy up there.

Yesterday was a bit of a mix with slushy spring conditions down at the bottom but still decent on piste up top. Visibility was pretty limited at times.

Snowing out the window at the moment and should continue for a day or two.

Not all the trees survive the Nozawa winter... Crushed tree infront of the Villa.
